Why Choose Our Dog Bootcamp?

Some dogs need more than at-home lessons—as a pack-oriented species, dogs will accelerate and thrive when immersed in a pack of mature, well-mannered, socialized, and fully trained dogs.

Here at Bowser’s we use our own pack of professional good boys and girls to help influence the dogs we are training for you!

Consistency is the key to lifelong obedience and that is exactly what the bootcamp program provides. Our campers will receive consistent, structured guidance to ensure that those good habits and manners are being reinforced all day every day. Our doggie boot camps give dogs the chance to learn in a safe, focused setting while owners receive the tools to maintain success at home.

Two-Week Dog Bootcamp

Our most popular program, the Two-Week Bootcamp, combines private lessons with immersive training to deliver fast, effective results.

Step 1: Basic Training

We begin with 1–4 private lessons focused on your dog’s unique challenges. These sessions teach you how to communicate clearly with your dog while strengthening your bond.

Step 2: Two-Week Immersive Stay

Your dog then joins our dog boot camp for two weeks of structured training. During camp, we focus on:

  • Obedience commands (sit, down, place, come, heel)

  • Socialization with people, dogs, and new environments

  • Confidence building through real-world exposure

  • Problem behavior correction, including whining, barking, and jumping

We also take dogs on field trips to parks, pet-friendly stores, and community events to prepare them for everyday life.

Step 3: Debrief & Transition Home

On day 14, we return your dog home for a detailed Debriefing session, showing you how to reinforce the training. You’ll also receive 4 follow-up lessons and all necessary training tools.

Four-Week Dog Bootcamp

The Four-Week Bootcamp is a full-immersion option for families who want an extended program or who cannot attend initial lessons. This program covers everything from manners to advanced obedience.

Weeks 1–2: Foundations & Manners
  • Door manners, leash manners, and feeding routines

  • Socialization and confidence building

  • Eliminating bad habits like barking, jumping, or whining
Weeks 3–4: Obedience & Confidence
  • Reinforcement of obedience commands (sit, down, heel, place, come)

  • Advanced socialization and real-world training

  • Exposure to busy environments and events for resilience

At graduation, we return your dog for a comprehensive Debriefing session, ensuring a smooth transition home. You’ll also receive 4 follow-up lessons and included training tools.

The dog is actively participating in Bowser's Training Bootcamp and practicing the "place" command. He is sitting happily infront of a car wrapped in the Pittsburgh Turner's Tea brand.

What Our Clients Are Saying

“We sent our 8month old puppy to bootcamp and we now have such a better grip on training her. They also have worked with us on our other dog in the home on how to tailor training for both dogs to make sure the puppy didn’t end up learning bad habits. We even got to send our other dog for drill camp to train together. I would definitely recommend!”

Bootcamp includes private lessons (for two-week programs), an immersive stay, obedience training, socialization, confidence-building exercises, and daily updates so you can track progress. Follow-up lessons and training tools are also provided.
Can my dog attend a Bootcamp without prior training?
Yes! Our four-week Bootcamp is designed for dogs who haven’t had prior lessons. Two-week Bootcamp programs include initial private lessons to address specific in-home challenges.
Will my dog come home ready for real-world situations?
Yes! Dogs are exposed to public outings, socialization exercises, and real-world scenarios to ensure they return home confident, well-mannered, and prepared for everyday life.
Will my dog remember me when they come home from training?
Yes, a thousand times yes! A dog will never forget a scent and every human has their own unique scent. Of the hundreds and hundreds of dogs who have completed our bootcamp and rehabilitation programs we have NEVER seen a dog fail to recognize their owners. In fact, most dogs perk up as soon as we get close to home! Reuniting with your dog is sure to be an exciting and heartwarming moment every time.
How old does my dog have to be to start?
The best time to start training is immediately! Dogs are born with a natural instinct to follow and one of the most important things you can do as a dog owner is fulfill that instinct. While certain types of training may require a level of maturity, there is still so much you can do with even the youngest of pups. The earlier you start, the less problems you will see later down the line. Prevention is better than intervention!
Is my dog too old to be trained or rehabilitated?
It is never too late to make changes for the better! Schedule a free evaluation to find out what types of training your dog is eligible for.
